I’m one of the lucky ones. I’m one of the blessed

I love my job so much I can hardly wait to get to work in the morning.
I bring this enthusiasm to every job I shoot.

A table saw blade in motion cutting a panel
1982
After being discharged from the US Navy, I went into business with my father building furniture. That came to an end the day I almost cut my fingers off on the table saw (I told you I was lucky.) I decided I wanted a career that didn't involve power tools.

1987
I began my new career as a photographer in Kmart Department stores. I was surprised they hired me because I had never picked up a camera before.
A black and white photo of the entrance to an Olan Mills portrait studio.
1989
I joined Olan Mills Portrait Studios as a portrait photographer thinking this would be a good career move. I rapidly outgrew this position and sought greater challenges and opportunities elsewhere.
A black and white photo of a commercial photo enlarger
1990
I was hired as a custom color printer in The Colorworks photo lab in Denver, Co. My photography skills continued growing because I had the opportunity to learn more about the photographic process.

After five years of self-guided study I went into business as an Architectural photographer. Over the next twenty-seven years, I photographed banks, hospitals, libraries, and magnificent homes. I am proud to say I won over 200 professional awards for my efforts.

My values.

I believe everyone can be seen at their best in photographs. All they need is someone who shares their vision to lead them through the process with patience and compassion.

Honesty and integrity are the core principles of my life and my business. I help my customers look good and feel great in their photographs by assisting them in showcasing their best character traits.
I invest time learning about my customers and helping them prepare for their photoshoots because my goal is to help them share the essence of who they are or want to become in their photographs.
